Funeral services for Louise Wilson Bostwick will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, November 9, 2023 at First Baptist Church Blanchard, LA with Bro. Billy Crosby officiating. Interment will follow at Blanchard Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the church under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Louise was born November 4, 1930 and passed away November 4, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Frank Taylor Bostwick; parents Ishmel Harrison Wilson and May Lucile Long; sister Inez Marie Brooks; daughter-in-law Patricia Bostwick (Floyd). Louise and Frank served the Lord in various churches over the years. At Central Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Texas, Louise incorporated her love of singing and theatre in choir and drama. She particularly enjoyed cooking, a gift she shared with family and friends. She passed this love down to children and grandchildren. Avid travelers, Louise and Frank would take off looking for new sights and adventures, both at home and “across the pond” for Air Force Reunions. Louise’s career in school transportation varied from bus driving to training drivers to dispatching. She would often drive church kids to camps and on choir tours.
Louise is survived by her children Neal Bostwick and wife Karen; Mark Bostwick and wife Barbara; Floyd Bostwick; and Rachel Browning and husband Raymond; 12 grandchildren Melanie Lobdell, Michael Bostwick, Taylor Bostwick, Tara Lawson, Sarah Crawford, Matthew Bostwick, Obie Bostwick, Erin Hanna, Christine Bostwick, Ben Browning, Kayla Snipes and Keisha Lassetter; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Ouida Tippett.
Serving as pallbearers will be Taylor Bostwick, Michael Bostwick, Matthew Bostwick, Obie Bostwick, Ben Browning, Heath Hanna, Jason Lobdell, Chris Lawson and Ben Crawford.
