Dear Family Members, I remember Miss Lona from when I was growing up. Gaye and I were in the same class at school. I remember her as a very loving and caring lady. I will keep each of you in my prayers as you go through this very trying time. May God bless each of you. Mary Oma Smith

Mrs. Lona loved to work with young people and teach us not just about God, but about values. She was my Training Union teacher for several years. I appreciate what she did for those of us in her class. Mrs. Lona loved us as we were and enjoyed seeing us later in life. I am blessed today having been a part of her life and her a part of mine. Rev. Mel Yorks

Van and I visited the 'boat' often when in town..for the good food - more for the company - Van always had to see Aunt Lona if we were here...their special relationship carried over after Marsh was born and we visited the bayou house a few times...I'm sure Van will be welcoming you with a big smile and open arms...Love and Prayers to all...
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

Aunt Lona, I hope you always knew how much you meant to me. You and Aunt Joy were always there any time I needed to talk or just hear a friendly voice. I never spoke to you once that you didnt end our conversation with "I Love You", and for that I will be forever grateful. God Bless you and your Children.

The loss of Ms. Lona will be hard for each of you. She was a special person. I remember her as my Sunday School teacher, GA'S, Bible School, and always at church as we all grew up together. Cherish the precious memories each one of you have. May God bless and keep you near.

Ms Lona will be missed. She always had a smile and quick to encourage. I will never forget her friendship and kinship to my mom. If there is food in Heaven, I bet she sat down to a dinner of fried crawfish tails with Harry!!

My Dear, Sweet, Friend, Miss Lona. We laughed so often about making the signature line long enough for your entire name and had such good times together when you would come to visit with us at the law office or just call me to chat. I grew to love you so much through the years and felt like part of your family as we both dealt with life's struggles. Your wisdom and strong faith were always such an encouragement to me. I will miss you and our visits together more than I can express. I will always hold our friendship close to my heart. Rest in peace, my dear friend. I love you~

My heart goes out to her family. My husband, Van Nolan, often told me wonderful stories about his Aunt Lona. The smile on his face & the twinkle in his eyes when he talked about her showed me that she was very special to him.

Aunt Lona, the world will miss you, your humor, your smile, and your ability to endure whatever life threw at you. The last time I saw you was at church. What a great memory I have of you. Tell Jesus and those that have left Earth before you, that we said Hi.

Ah! I love you. Our relationship goes far back some 55 years when you worked in Marion Clinic-Hospital with Grady. We ate with you and Harry but it wasn't until we met you and Tony that our love really grew. Our friendship was strong--the joys, the laughter, and the sorrows. Then I followed you to Chauvin Pointe and we became soul mates. You have meant so much to me and will continue to be a star in my world.I miss you.
