Lois Spillers Funeral services for Lois Brasher Spillers, 95, of Spencer, LA will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Spencer Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Fletcher officiating. Music will be provided by Harriett Fletcher. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Linville, LA. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Spencer Baptist Church from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA. Lois was born on May 3, 1918 in Ouachita City, LA and passed away on October 11, 2013 at home in Spencer, LA. She attended Linville High School until her marriage on July 19, 1934 to Cona S. Spillers, who was her loving husband for 77 years. In addition to being a homemaker, loving wife and mother, great cook, and devoted servant of her church, Lois was Custodian of Voting Machines in Spencer from 1967 until 2011. She also was the song Director at Spencer Baptist Church during the late 50's and early 60's. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Spillers of Spencer, daughter-in-law, Caroline Spillers of Batesville, AR, grandsons Kevin Spillers and wife Kelly of Chicago, IL and Chris Spillers and wife Carla of Rogers, AR, great-grandchildren Amber, Jordan, Tyler, Dexter, Mason, and Fletcher Spillers, niece Betty Owen Snell and husband Jasper Snell, Jr., great nieces Kathy Snell Dunn, Stacey Snell Arredondo, and Tracey Snell Cain, and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by husband Cona, son Ronnie Spillers, parents J.B. and Nennie Brasher, sister Mildred Brasher Owen, brother-in-law John Owen and mother and father-in-law Martha and W.H. Spillers. Pallbearers will be Charles Thomas, Jimmy Hollis, Sonny Arredondo, Greg Bonner, Jessie Hilton, and David Garris.
