Linda Lou Ropp impacted my life greatly. It was her encouragement that kept me going to college while I was stationed at Barksdale. Because of her I was motivated to get my degree and eventually finished my education at Grambling State University and got a commission in the United States Air Force. Back in either 2003 or 2004 I found her phone number and gave her a call to let her know how much she meant to me. God did gain a new angel.

Hey girls I’m just sick at heart, I did not know that Lou was sick. She came to see me when she was big in the garden club and wanted me to put my yard of the yard month club and it was around the time my husband James R was sick and I couldn’t do it, but I want y’all to know one thing! We had more fun together than anybody had a right to back in our heyday in the 60s and 70s!Love you girls,Johnnie Faye Loyd Colvin

I just heard the sad news about Lou Ropp. She came to Ruston High School as a teacher while I was there as a student. I did not have the privilege of having her as a teacher but got to know her through friends that did. She was such a wonderful person and teacher that really cared about every student at RHS. She had a positive influence on many young lives including mine. She will be missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

It was so great to be "live around the lake from each other" neighbors and have our girls get to know each other. Karen and Kelley, so distressed about your loss.

Speech and Chatterbox were made more fun and prepared us for years down the road including my own career as a high school teacher of English and speech. We were bledssed at RHS to have the likes of Lou- thanks for sharing so much with us- Rest In Peace dear lady.
