Services for Mrs. Leverta Sharbono, age 91, of Monroe, Louisiana will be 2:00 PM Sunday, October 15, 2006 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, Louisiana with Brother Rodney White and Brother Cecil Gregory officiating. Interment will follow in Monroe Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Mrs. Sharbono was born March 12, 1915 and passed away at Monroe Manor Nursing Home on Tuesday, October 10, 2006. Leverta was married to Lawrence Bradberry for 25 years. Lawrence died at the age of 59 in 1959. They had 10 children which includes: Helen Cararas of Monroe, LA, Ben Bradberry of Jacksonville, FL, Glen Bradberry of Taladega, AL, Brenda Aquilar of Las Vegas, NV, Kay Wilton of College Station, TX, Gay Whittington of Wisner, LA, deceased, Virgil Bradberry of Sterlington, LA, Robert Bradberry of Milton, FL, Jack Bradberry of Richmond, VA and Joe Bradberry of Richmond, VA. Leverta had 10 children of which were 4 sets of twins. She also had 40 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren consisting of 4 sets of twins. In all there are 8 sets of twins and a total of 108 children in her extended family. Leverta was also married 33 years to Iley Sharbono who died in 2001 at the age of 94. Pallbearers will be Joe Orsak, J. R. Towery, Larry Garrett, Charles George, Billy Garrett, Bobby Garrett, Stewart Cararas and Paul Jeansonne. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Meier, Travis Vavra, Greg Robinson, John Harvey and Sam Cararas III. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, October 14, 2006, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe, LA. The family expresses special thanks to the Staff at Monroe Manor Nursing and the Hospice Family Alliance, especially Dr. Stephen Beene.
