Graveside services for Mr. Leo Cantrell, age 89, of Choudrant, LA will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Beulah Cemetery in Calhoun, LA. Rev. Ricky Bonnett will officiate the service under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Cantrell was born on May 11, 1923 in Collins, MS and died on October 6, 2012 in Monroe, LA following a lengthy illness. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Ruston. Mr. Cantrell was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was a retired welder. He is preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Jean Cantrell. He is survived by his sons: Marvin Lynn Cantrell, Dennis Max Cantrell, Jerry LeVaughn Cantrell all of Choudrant; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. Monday, October 8, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com

Mr. Leo was a wonderful man that will be missed very much. I enjoyed his stories of his experience in the Navy and was a true gentlemen. He was one of a kind and I know he is comforted in the arms of the Lord and enjoying seeing Mrs. Roberta. My condolences go out to his sons and the rest of the family.
