In celebration of the life of Laurel I≠dell White Hilton, services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 9, 2007 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Mrs. Hilton≠s son officiating Rev. Steven Clay Hilton of Mid-Cities Community Church of Bedford, Texas. Interment to follow at Hasley Cemetery West Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Hilton was born April 14, 1945 in Minot, North Dakota and died after a lengthy illness, at her son≠s home in Montgomery, Texas on February 6, 2007. Mrs. Hilton was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Lavern Hilton of Monroe and by her father Clemon Jerry White of West Monroe. Laurel was a former resident of Monroe having retired from employment at the Eye Clinic of Joseph B. Barron, M.D. Laurel is survived by two sons; Alvin Lavern Hilton, Jr. and wife Karen of Montgomery, TX, Rev. Steven Clay Hilton and wife Cinnamon; grandson; Ethan Hilton of Montgomery, TX; granddaughters; Gracie, Ivy and Anna Hilton of Ft. Worth, TX; Mother; Mrs. Verna I White of West Monroe; sisters; Kim Andrews and Bonnie Grant of Monroe, Kristi Dowty of Parker, CO; brother; Captain Wade White, MD of San Diego, CA; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM

Dear Alvin and Clay, I was so sorry to hear of the death of your mother. I apologize for not being able to attend the visitation or the funeral. Charlotte had back surgery in Shreveport on Thursday and I had surgery on Friday afternoon. Your mother was a dear, sweet lady and wonderful person. She loved her boys. I am glad she could spend time with you before she died. I know she will be missed.
