Funeral services for Laura Marie Smalling Richard, 68, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, West Monroe.  Bro. Charlie Martin and her brother CP Smalling will officiate.  Interment will follow at Lapine Assembly of God Cemetery in West Monroe under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in West Monroe.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, West Monroe.

Laura was born January 29, 1956 in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away April 22, 2024, in West Monroe, Louisiana.  She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.  Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Edith Smalling; brother, Allen Smalling, Jr.; niece, Teresine Tarver; and aunt, Kathleen Ellard.

Laura is survived by her husband, Phillip Richard; daughters, Misty Tidwell and her husband Joey (Travis), Melinda Weems and her husband Brad, Christina Hutcherson; grandchildren, CJ Tidwell and his wife Michaela, Dillion Tidwell and his wife Robyn, Sabrina Kellick and her husband Tanner, Whitney Weems, Kaylin Weems, Cadence Hutcherson; great grand-daughters, RaeLynn, Remi, Rowyn Tidwell; sisters, Inez, Mary; brothers, CP, Virgil, Eddie Ray, Buford, Michael, Jerry, Paul; and special uncle, Carl Ellard; along with many other cherished family and friends.

Pallbearers will be CJ Tidwell, Dillion Tidwell, Joey Tidwell, Brad Weems, Tanner Kellick and Jason Smalling.  Honorary pallbearers are Justice Vickers, Justin Smalling, Claude Daniel, Brett Smalling, Jarrod Smalling, Shane Evans and Dusty Smalling.
