I spent a lot of time w Claire, having met when I was a barista at Rue de la Course and she lived next door on Race St. A lot of laughs shared ...
David Green left a message on November 25, 2018:
Claire & I drove to my hometown Dayton, Ohio together in the 90’s. She met my parents. We went to Kings Island, hiked in Yellow Springs and drank the spring water in Glen Helen (supposedly a fountain of youth). And she was that: forever youthful. I just now thought to look her up after all these years and am so saddened to see this. But I’ll never forget time spent together.

Hello, As we live in Rotterdam, Netherlands now, it has been some years since I have seen Claire in NOLA, probably 1998. We used to hang at Rue on Race most every day and she was a wonderful person, full of laughter and life force. I was searching for her on the Internet and found the sad news of her passing. Condolences, you are all in my prayers. Lola

Claire was such a wonderful friend. Not only was she truly beautiful, but she was also one of the funnniest people I ever met.  Even though I hadn't seen Claire since the late 90's, I feel like it was just yesterday that I was hanging out with her & her cat Natalie think that was the cat's name at her Race St. apartment in NOLA.  I will truly miss her, and I want to send my condolences to all of you.  I hope she is at peace now.

Bruce and Lynn- my heart is heavy with tears for both of you. Lou told me so much about Claire and wanted me to meet her so many times. Her spirit is soaring now that she is truly free. She touched so many people while she was on this earth--and she will continue to do so. She will speak to you in the whispers of the wind and you will see her in your dreams again and again and you will feel her presence wherever you go. My love goes out to all of your family.Hank

What a great person, neighbor, and friend I had in Laura Claire.  She could make anyone laugh, and we would laugh for hours over everything.  We drank blue raspberry icees together and what a fond memory of being a teenager with Laura Claire...so very much fun we had together.
