Larue Breazeal BarronFuneral services for Mrs. Larue Breazeal Barron, 99, of Spearsville, La, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Spearsville Baptist Church with Bro. James Miller officiating. Internment will be in Spearsville Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.Mrs. Barron was born on August 23, 1908 in Spearsville, La. and passed away on September 19, 2007 in Monroe, La. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tyre Boone and Edna Nicklas Breazeal, her brother, Lavelle Breazeal, and her husband, Joe C. Barron. She is survived by her son, Dr. Joseph B. Barron and wife Charlotte of Monroe, La., a sister, Maurene Barron, of Spearsville, La., 14 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.Mrs. Barron graduated from Spearsville High School in 1925. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Louisiana Tech in 1929. She was a dedicated English teacher at Spearsville High School. Two years early in her career she taught at Linville. Part of her teaching duties included directing the Junior and Senior class plays. Students who attended Spearsville were always referred to as ?our children?.Mrs. Barron was a member of Spearsville Baptist Church since a teenager, serving as the church pianist for over 35 years. She served and participated in many church functions, including special music productions, and numerous weddings and funerals. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Triad, and enjoyed ceramics.Quiet and unassuming, Mrs. Barron was always willing to participate and help at her church and in her community. She enjoyed people and put others first in her life. She derived a great sense of peace and happiness in doing so.Pallbearers will be Ned Barron, Glenn Barron, Dwain Barron, Bruce Barron, Tim Barron, and Jon lles. Visitation will be at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2007 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.
