Just heard today (6/29) of the passing of my friend and customer Laddie. We had a working friendship for over 30 years. At first I was scared of Laddie as he was a man of few words but over the years learned he had that big heart that he kept hidden and I was fortunate to have worked with him and saw the true nature of his kindness! My heart goes out to the family. Remembering you fondly Laddie!! Fran

It was my pleasure to know Laddie the last 20 years and work with/for him 10 of those years. Laddie earned the respect from his peers in the industry, co-workers and the community. Laddie possessed talents that few leaders have. May you Rest In Peace Laddie,

I am saddened to hear of Laddie’s passing. I learned a lot working for him at ABS. Laddie was a great boss. I know he will be greatly missed by many.

The memories I have of Laddie at ABS are both happy and comical. He was a big, ole bear that most employees were afraid of. He had a presence about him that you didn't know if he were going to fuss at you or smile at you. I loved him and his soft heart! He was always so kind to me and always had that smile. He was a great boss and a wonderful man. I'm happy that I had the opportunity to work with and get to know him. May he rest in peace.

I will miss Laddie. He took a chance on me on my first job after college. He made working at ABS worthwhile and a very enjoyable place to work. I can remember our first meeting very well. Bless him for giving me a job that lasted for the next 20 years. Carin

I have so much to say but it will be enough to just simply say, Laddie was a great friend and a brother in Christ. I grieve now for the loss of being able to call him or visit him on my trips back to Louisiana (home), but I know he is in the courts of our LORD Jesus with that well known smile and a heart full of joy. Because of Jesus, I will see him on that "eternal day" and we will rejoice together. "Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you." John 16:22
