Gary Rainey, 63, passed away December 21, 2018 after a short fight with cancer, in Ruston surrounded by his family. He was a son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and father-figure to so many. He spent most of his 63 years visiting with friends, surveying in the woods, and making people laugh. Gary was preceded in death by his mother and father, JoAnne and L. A. Rainey, and nephew Andy Robinson. He is survived by his daughters Anna and Natalie, sister Debbie Robinson, nephew Jeff Robinson, and grandchildren Graziella and Seppe Jr.Gary loved the outdoors, his family, and work. Being a professional land surveyor for over 30 years, he knew Lincoln Parish like the back of his hand. He was sought after because of his precision and loved for his chuckle. He will be remembered by his friends for his loyalty and authenticity. He will be remembered as Daddy and P-Pop by his girls and grandchildren. We will all miss his stories, humor, and warmth. A memorial service will be held December 27 at 11 AM at Salem Methodist Church, located at 11793 Highway 151 in Dubach, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.
