Krista Danielle McClendon Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA Funeral services for Krista will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 1201 Stubbs Avenue, Monroe, Louisiana with Dr. George Wortham officiating under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Krista Danielle McClendon died suddenly on Sunday, August 19, 2007 in Jackson, Mississippi at the age of 22. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on August 28, 1984. The majority of her life was spent in Pensacola, FL but relocated to West Monroe in 2001. She graduated from West Monroe High School in 2002. Krista attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe and Hinds Community College in Jackson, MS, majoring in Marketing. Krista is survived by her son, Kagen Patrick Williamson; grandmother, Beverly S. Bennett and husband Fred; grandfather, Robert K. Draper and wife Linda; aunt, Robin D. Seal and husband Steve of Asheville, NC; uncle, Robert C. Draper and wife Alison and family of Dallas; and uncle, Brent Levingston and wife Kathleen of Suffolk, VA. Krista was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Draper McClendon; her maternal great grandmother, Carroll Anderson Smith, and maternal great grandfather, Clark B. Smith both of Monroe. She was employed as a sales representative at Best Buy in Jackson, MS. The joy of Krista≠s life was her son, Kagen. Some of her fondest memories were of her mother and of days spent in the sun, on the sand, and in the surf of the Florida beaches. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 22 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude≠s Children≠s Hospital of the charity of choice.
