Officiating the services will be Rev. Bill Reid.Mr. Serpas was born September 21, 1954 and passed away March 10, 2015. Ken Serp Serpas arrived at Louisiana Tech University in 1974 pursuing a football career on full scholarship as a result of him being the first athlete of Southwood High School to be named to the All State team. Football was one of his greatest loves in life closely following the love he possessed for his wife, Jan and their children and grandson, as well as extended family & friends. Ken also carried a work ethic like none other, from the football field, to his first job at T.L. James while completing his college career. Then he moved to running the cattle operations for Davison Transport. Following that, he was brought on board with Prime Quality Feeds where he succeeded in a lengthy 25 year career. His last five years were spent at Fluid Disposal, where he quickly bonded and grew to love everyone as family. Work was an important priority, but that did not halt his love for outdoors, especially duck hunting. Ken also prided himself in his walk with the Lord. He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church and a huge testament to others. Faith, family and friends are the principles of life that he lived by daily and to the fullest. He is survived by his wife, Jan R.
