I remember being a freshman at Southwood playing football for them. I caught a pass and thought I was home free. Ken came out of no where and rung my bell, turned my helmet completely around. After he ranged me, he reached picked me up and said he could do this all day! That has always been my memory of Ken. He was a great person!

Ken was a fun guy in high school. When I came to Southwood in my sophmore year he called me a "Grovite" because I had moved from Cedar Grove area of Shreveport. He was just that kind of guy. :) I am so glad that he had a testimony of Christ in his life that makes this a whole lot sweeter to know that one day I will see him again. God Bless You all during this difficult time.

We have you all in our thoughts and prayers. Ken made it through a tough disease and has now left it behind and is victorious over it as God promised. You will all get through this, too. You will remember him and talk about him often with love and fond remembrances, and you will laugh and occasionally get teary eyed, but it will be o.k. Laugh, and love each other and embrace with Ken in mind. We are convinced that he will know and be there with you. He was and is a wonderful person.

I always felt I had at least 20 brothers growing up and Ken was one of them. I remember Glo (Ken's mom) at our house with a dr. pepper in one hand and playing bridge with my mom and all of their friends and Ken walking in our house with a big smile and always a hug for everyone! RIP my friend! We all love and miss you!
