Funeral services for Phyllis Kay Cupit Guirlando will be at 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in the chapel of Kilpatrick’s Funeral Home, West Monroe. Rev. Waymond Warren will officiate. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 2:30 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
Kay was born on August 20, 1958 in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away on July 26, 2020 in West Monroe, Louisiana. She was a longtime employee in the medical field at P & S Surgery Center and St. Francis Medical Center. Kay is preceded in death by her father, Thomas D. Cupit, Sr. and she was the mother of the late, J.R. Searcy.
Left to cherish Kay’s memory is her husband, Rocco “Rocky” Guirlando; son, Casey Guirlando; mother, Marjorie Craighead Cupit; sister, Janis Lyn Cupit; brother, Thomas D. Cupit, Jr.; grandchildren, Justin and Maegan Searcy, Caden Guirlando; mother-in-law, Rosemary Crowson; brother-in-law, Joe Guirlando and wife Peggy; sisters-in-law, Virginia Puckett and husband Billy, Rosie Sikes and husband Ricky; nephew Tracy W. Crocker and wife Shana and their children; niece, Tommi L. Reynolds and husband Thurman and their children; many other cherished family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Casey Guirlando, Joe Guirlando, Rocco Sylvestri, Tommy Trainer, Rocco Edward Guirlando, and Dennis Wall.
