Kathleen (Kathy) Carson was born October 5, 1943 in Shelton, WA and passed away on August9, 2023 in West Monroe, LA. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Leona Clark; sibling, James Clark; husband of 54 years James Carson,and son Ross Carson.

Kathy is survived by her sister DeRhonda Clark; children, Scott Carson and his wife, Johnnie Raye; Leona Carson and her husband, Mike; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-granddaughters, several nieces and nephews and other cherished family and friends.

Kathy was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, mamaw, sister, and friend. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by those fortunate enough to have had her in their lives.

Kathy was a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration to her family. She dedicated her life to caring for and nurturing her loved ones, always putting their needs before her own. Her selflessness and unconditional love were the cornerstones of her characterand she taught us the importance of compassion, empathy, and forgiveness.

In addition to her devotion to family, Kathy was a lady of many talents including nurse, cook, Rainbow Girls Majority member, CubScout leader, park administrator and member of Christ Church, West Monroe. She enjoyedserving as a greeter on Sundays,participating in the Wisdom club, serving with Project Samuel in Nicaragua, and Woman’s retreat ministry which brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She approached every endeavor with determination and a positive attitude, serving as a role model for us all.

Kathy leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She will forever be remembered for her infectious smile, her warm embrace, and her ability to bring light into any room. Though she may no longer be physically present, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have extended their support, prayers, and condolences during this difficult time.The family would like to also thank the staff members of St. Francis Medical Center, Specialty Hospital, The Guest House, and Ascent Hospice. Your kindness and thoughtfulness have provided us with solace and strength.

A memorial service will be held in honor of Kathy on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Christ Church West Monroe, LA. Services are under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Project Samuel – Nicaragua, as it was a ministry close to her heart.
