Kathryn Oglesbee Burkett, 76 of Monroe, passed away on December 12, 2020. She was born on May 30, 1944 to B.F. and Rena Massey Oglesbee. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, James Burkett; parents; siblings, Carl, Wendell, Grace, Annette, Bobby Oglesbee, and Ruth Brady.
Kathryn is survived by sister, Betty Rogers; children, Christopher Gilliland and wife Angela of Longview, TX, Clifton “Renny” Gilliland and wife Melonie of Monroe, La, and Angie Parker of Longview, TX; grandchildren, Mindy Brummett and husband Adam, Christan Morrison and husband Austin, Chandler Reyna and husband Brandon, Taylor Gilliland, Cade Gilliland, and Seth Parker; great grandchildren, Hudson Brummett, Layla Morrison, Wren Morrison; nieces, nephews and many other cherished family and friends. She worked in Monroe and retired as a supervisor at Sunquest Properties. Kathryn will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, great cooking skills, and her strength to persevere under any circumstances. She played an important role in the lives of her family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Antioch Cemetery in Eros, Louisiana. Interment will follow under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes ~ West Monroe.
Pallbearers will be Cade Gilliland, Chuck Parker, Seth Parker, Don Ballard, Adam Brummett, and Austin Morrison.
