Angie, Betty and family: I was so sorry to hear about Kathryn. I had not seen her in a long time, but thought of her often. She taught me so much about Apartment management when I started working with her and we had so much fun. One of the best memories is us going out for lunch, back when they had video poker machines in the restaurants. We only went to the ones that had the machines, and sometimes even won enough to pay for our lunch!! I know you will miss her so much and please know you're in my thoughts and prayers. Becky

To Betty and all the children and family: Betty: Mother (Lurline Oglesbee Phillips), my husband Pete Sims, and sister, Dewanna Phillips love you all and are praying for you. I actually just stumbled across Kathryn’s passing looking for someone else’s obit. We remember her great personality and as a child growing up, I always looked forward to seeing you two at family reunions. GREAT MEMORIES!

It was 1982 When I met Miss Kathryn. I was 12 years old And I wasn’t sure if she liked me LOLShe was a single Mother that worked hard, always dressed nice and loved her children. She had the most beautiful eyes I’d ever seen.. literally she could speak through those eyes..Angie and I were inseparable for decades to come so she was a big part of my life. To this day..Kathryn is absolutely without a doubt the REALEST person I’ve ever known. I had so much admiration and respect because she was such a good woman. My heart Goes out to all of you because I know how greatly she will be missed. She was one of a kind! And I’m grateful and honored I had the opportunity to be a part of her life. There’s so much more I could say about her.. Miss Kathryn You were always so good to me. I’ll never forget you Marcy

I truly loved my Aunt Kathryn. She was so special in my heart and I don’t think she knew that. I regret not telling her that. She was 9 years old when I was born and I was her parents’ first grandchild and they adored me. I think my aunt resented that some with her being the youngest child. We had little spats because of our places in the order of the family and it was funny looking back at it. We got passed all that and I babysat Chris and Renny at times. When they lived in Calhoun, LA, my family were either at her or she had her family at our house along with Aunt Betty, DD and Grandma. I love you Kathryn and I always will. Terri
