Private graveside services for Kathleen “Kitty” Murphy, 88, of West Monroe will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Walnut Grove Cemetery-West Monroe with Bro. Bo Horne officiating. A public visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2021 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Kitty was born July 31, 1932 in Cloutierville, LA and passed away February 4, 2021 in Monroe. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she dearly loved her family. She volunteered numerous hours at local community centers working with the elderly. Later, she found great joy caring for infants in church daycares, including at First United Methodist Church of West Monroe. She was a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church. Kitty was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Brow and Eunice Guin Brow; her sons Ronnie Bordelon and Bobby Bordelon; her sisters Ruth Henley, Daisy Aymond and Molly Dryer.

Kitty is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Murphy; children William Brent Bordelon and wife Patricia, Theresa Kathleen Murphy, Sherri Leigh Murphy Bullard and husband Lemar and Robert Edmond “Ed” Murphy, Jr., and wife Diane; 12 grandchildren, William Brent Bordelon, Jr., Marleigh Bullard, Kelsey Bullard, Mariah Lopez, Casey Razer, Matthew Murphy, Alicyn Murphy, Ronnie Bordelon, Debbie Brister, Angela Miller, Rebecca Bordelon and Duke Bordelon; 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Betty Barnett and many nieces and nephews.
