Funeral Services for Karen Susann Bridges Alford will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in West Monroe.  Rev. Shawn Hornsby will officiate. The committal service will be held at 3:00 P.M. at Harmony Chapel Cemetery in Hico. Visitation will be held prior to service from 12:00 P.M. until time of service.

Karen was born March 31, 1968, in Gretna, Louisiana and passed away April 4, 2024, in West Monroe, Louisiana.  She was a customer service representative in telecommunications and graduated from University of Louisiana at Monroe.  Karen was sweet, kind-hearted and loving.  She loved to read and she loved animals, especially pugs.  Karen was preceded in death by her father, Johnny E. Bridges; grandparents, C. Ervin Bridges, Kelma A. Bridges, Carlton T. Broughton and Iva Lee B. Broughton.

Karen  is survived by her son Michael K. Smith (Christy); mother, Linda B. Bridges; sister, Cathy B. Brown (Mike); brother, J. Ted Bridges; nephews, Andrew S. Tripp (Becky), Jonathan J. Tripp; great-niece, Josie Tripp; great-nephews, Braydon Rowe and Sebastian Tripp; along with aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.

Pallbearers will be Andy Tripp, Jonathan Tripp, Braydon Rowe, Dustin Powell, Tony Smith and Mike Brown.
