My heart breaks with the news of Kay's sudden passing. The entire Katz family was very special to me when I lived in Bastrop. Kay was such a funny, happy lady, always at the basketball games cheering on her home team and her children. I have many fond memories of all of the many ballgames that Kay and Steve so faithfully attended. Laura, Stacey, Keith and Steve, you are in my prayers, and I am so very sad to hear of your loss. I miss and love you all!

There are no words to help in your time of grief but you must know... It has been so wonderful to get reacquainted with Kay on "Memory Lane". She has always been so special to me because of her sweetness and kindness when I was a senior and the first mascot of BHS. She and Nanette were so incredibly supportive, sweet, and kind to me. After all these years, I still remember. When we lost Bobby, she was so kind to take my call in the midst of her own grief. That's just who Kay was. Always remembered. Always loved.
