So sad to hear of Karen's passing. She was one of the sharpest people I ever met. Taught her at ULM when she went back to take classes for the CPA. Later she helped my son in his first job in the accounting field. She was special. Praying for God to show Himself strong to all those who loved her.

For all of Karen's family: I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Each of you will be in my prayers for an outpouring of comfort and consolation directly by the Holy Spirit, and indirectly, through the prayers and other outreach of some of those with whom God has intertwined your lives. May Jesus pour out His unsurpassed peace upon each of you as you now celebrate Karen's life, and treasure the good memories you share. His peace, His love be upon you, David Thiels

I considered myself lucky to be Karen’s friend. I sort of thought of her as as “Renaissance woman,” gifted in so many diverse ways. She also was kind and compassionate, and always spoke so lovingly to me about all her children every time we got together. It was clear that each one meant so much to her. A few weeks ago, we were ready to pair up again for a project for SOS. I’m sorry we can’t do that together, but I will treasure the many times she and I were a team for doing good. Farewell, my friend.
