Judge Dozier truly had a Christian impact on hundreds of people. He took the time to take my case of a nine year old who had sent in a coupon from the funny papers to win a contest and get a "free" encyclopedia. Later, more books arrived that were returned but then came the letter threatening to sue for collection. I went to then attorney Dozier for some help. He sent a letter to the sponsor and the whole matter was settled because I was under-age. I also recall a Lion's Club meeting that I attended with my dad where attorney Dozier and his partner were asked to report on the Lion's state convention. It seems the young attorneys had been sponsored by the local club. The attorney Dozier stood, addressed the president, and pled the fifth amendment. It seems they had met with some fellow students and neglected to attend the sessions. I am truly sorry I was not privileged to sit in his Bible classes.
BLACKSTONE AUDIO left a message on October 4, 2010:
We are saddened to hear of Mr. Dozier's passing here at Blackstone Audio in Ashland Oregon. It was an honor to have had James Dozier as a customer. It was always a pleasure to hear his voice when he would call us for ordering audio books. We know which books he liked and it was a delight walking/reading to him our most current offerings by phone. My grandmother was from LA so I personally loved his accent. He was a gentleman and will be missed. RIP Mr Dozier. -carol Cooper Trusty Bonney

Johnny and I are saddened in the death of Judge Dozier. He was a dear friend and we were honored to have him as a friend. While I was the Secretary in the First Baptist Church office, he was my faithful supporter and adviser. He and Johnny spent alot of time together in his well years. All of you cared for him daily and I know he was aware of that tender care. May God's love and peace be with all of you.

I worked as a court reporter in the Judge's Office in Lincoln Parish for twenty-five years, ten of those years with Judge Dozier. I can honestly say he was always a gentleman and I loved working with him. He came to my son's wedding in '93; the wedding was at night and reception was at the country club. Yes, he came; rode with Peggy and Mary John. I know he will be missed by so many people; he was that kind of person.
