Juanita “Jackie” Smith Moix Funeral services for Juanita “Jackie” Smith Moix, 74, of Ruston will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston. Rev. Jeff Hoffman will officiate the service and interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery in El Dorado, AR under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Moix was born in Harlingen, Texas on April 3, 1936 and died in Ruston, LA on October 29, 2010. She was a member of The Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in El Dorado, AR and a former member of the First Baptist Church of Ruston from 1963 – 1981. Mrs. Moix is preceded in death by her parents, Forman Glyn Smith and Marian C. Hargett; husband, Cloyce Francis Moix; grandson, Mark Jett Jetson Allen; and step-granddaughter Amanda Barker. . . She is survived by daughters, Cindy Colvin Allen and husband Charles of Haughton; Cathleen Colvin Reidy and husband Paul of Harrison, AR; Melanie Colvin Garrison and husband Tommy of Ruston; Deborah Colvin Moore and husband Brady of Harrison; son, James Allen Colvin, Jr and wife Miki of Dubach; step-sons, Chris Moix and Marvin Gash of New Orleans; and Joe Moix and wife Lisa of Hot Springs, AR; step-daughter, Rosemarie Moix Barker of Hot Springs, AR; grandchildren, Brian Bump, Crystal Bump, Makenzie Moore, and Mallory Moore; great-granddaughter Blakeley Keagle; step-grandsons, Kyle Reidy and wife Tessa; Justin Barker; Nicholas Moix; step-granddaughters, Ashley Moix; Jenny Garrison Brandt and husband Chris; sister, Trudy Gerety and husband John C. of Bernice; brother, Sonny Orren and wife Barbara of Ruston, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Charles Allen, Brady Moore, Brian Bump, Paul Reidy, Tommy Garrison, and Vernon Brown. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
