Joyce was born August 3, 1938 in Fayette, Mississippi and passed away February 22, 2020 in Farmerville, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents; James and Thelma Oliver and her husband, Sebron Sowell; son, James Sowell Sr. Joyce’s hobbies were sewing and shopping at Wal-Mart. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Joyce is survived by her daughter-in-law, Wendy Sowell Thomas and husband Junior; 2 grandsons, James Russell Sowell Jr. and wife Cara and Christopher James Sowell and wife Inelda; granddaughter, Brandi Nicole Barber and husband Jacob; 11 great-grandchildren.
