Vernon Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Woody Rimes. Interment to follow at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Born February 17, 1916 in Dodson, LA., she passed away February 4, 2008 in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of MVBC for 55 years, the youngest of nine children of Jack and Mary Etta Womack, formerly of the Gaars Mill community, Winn Parish, the last of the nine to leave this earthly home.She is survived by husband, Marshal Parker; children, Ralph Parker; Donald Parker, wife Lana; Jeanette Rogers, husband Gene; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10AM until service time at the church.Honorary pallbearers, Walter Gates, Jr, J. E. Wilkes, and Erby Tisdale.

Mrs. Parker was a fine lady. Gracious and caring, generous and kind. I am proud to have had the opportunity of knowing her and her family even though it has been for too brief a time. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. May God bless and comfort all in their loss and time of grieving. In my heart I know Mrs. Parker is with the Lord and singing His praises. She has truly earned her reward.
