Funeral services for Johnnie Lutrick, 75, of Eros, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 18, 2021 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Randy Burdeaux officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Johnnie was born July 10, 1946 in Alexandria, LA and passed away July 13, 2021 in Monroe, LA. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and also attended Crossroad Cowboy Church. Johnnie thoroughly enjoyed attending Monday evening Bible study and his Sunday school class. He was also a volunteer of the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Chainsaw Team. He retired from Plant 70 of Graphic Packaging Plant as a machinist. Mr. Johnnie was a family man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved to hunt and be outdoors. Johnnie enjoyed volunteering and serving others. He loved to travel with his wife and was always up for a good Blue Grass Festival. Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents Audie Bell and G.W. Lutrick; son Johnnie Lutrick II.
Johnnie is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dottie Lutrick; daughter, DeEtte Canerday and husband Scott; grandchildren, Hailey Trichell and husband Jeffrey, Tye Lutrick and wife Katie, Macey Canerday, Ethan Lutrick and Kaylie Canerday; 4 great-grandchildren, Emma Lutrick, Avery Lutrick, Brenna Trichell and Kadan-Brooks Trichell; brothers, Ronnie Lutrick and wife Toni and Gary Wayne Lutrick and wife Stephanie; several nieces and nephews; canine companion, Scooter.
Pallbearers will be Lyle Antley, Scott Lindsay, Alfred Grant, Johnny Pitman, David Hollenshead, Jimmy Lane Bradford, Ray Lynn Bradford, Acey Wilbanks and Shane Hudson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Johnnie’s Sunday School Class.
