Johnie was born December 1, 1949 in Beaumont,TX and passed away June 13, 2023 in West Monroe. He served proudly in the United States Air Force. Johnie was a retired mechanic and poultry farmer. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting, but White Perch Fishing was his passion. With all the things he enjoyed in life, his family was above all.
Johnie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Virginia E. Brewer; 2 sons, Johnnie Matthew Brewer III and Alvin Lynn Brewer; daughter,Matilda Cristie Simmons and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Quinton Brewer, Casey Simmons and wife Maddy, Adriana Brewer, Conner Simmons; great-grandson, Ryder Simmons; brother, Wayne Haney; sisters, Tillie Scott, Linda Fitzpatrick, Daisy Thompson, Marilyn Heggie and Elaine Pittman; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Casey Simmons, Conner Simmons, Kevin Simmons, Sloan Wilhite, Sydney Smith.
