Funeral services for John Wayne Plute Williamson, age 73 of Ruston, will be 10:00 AM, Monday, January 13, 2020, at New Hope Baptist Church in Choudrant. Officiating will be Rev. Dwayne Monk and Rev. Larry Bullock. Interment will be at New Hope Cemetery in Choudrant, LA.Plute was born on October 7, 1946, in Ruston, LA and passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020, in Ruston. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Choudrant, LA. Plute was retired from the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries with 25 years of service. He is preceded in death by his father Jewel Williamson.Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolyn Williamson of Ruston; sons, Kirby Williamson and wife Jennifer of San Antonio, TX and Casey Williamson of Ruston, LA; mother, Lucille Williamson of Ruston; sister, Jane Bartlett and husband Jerald of Ruston; grandsons, Jacob Williamson and wife Brittany, and Kyle Williamson and girlfriend Carley Jones; great-grandson, Tanner Williamson; and several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers are Jeff Bartlett, Matthew Bullock, Todd Bullock, Armond Burch, Malcolm Echols, and Jason Williams.Honorary Pallbearers are Charles Griffin, Dennis Smith, Jim Stephens, and Buddy Williams.Visitation will be Sunday, January 12, 2020, from 2:00-4:30 PM at New Hope Baptist Church in Choudrant.
