John L. Stansbury Funeral services for Mr. John L. Stansbury age 96, of Sardis Community, LA will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Sardis Baptist Church of Farmerville, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Bobby Jackson. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville. Mr. Stansbury was born on November 14, 1916 and passed away on October 6, 2013. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of WWII. He is preceded in death by his wife, Neda Reeves Stansbury. Survivors are his son, John David Stansbury of Sardis Community; grandson: John Floyd Stansbury and wife Donna of Sardis Community; great-grandsons: Russell Stansbury and Randall Stansbury; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be: Russell Stansbury, and Stuart Williams. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Sardis Baptist Church.
