John Robert King, age 65, born February 27, 1958 passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024.

Graveside services for John will be Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in West Monroe.  Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Chapel, 215 Mt. Vernon Church Road, West Monroe, La.

Services are under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

John was born in Arcadia, LA to A.P. and Mildred Collinsworth King.  He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church where he faithfully served as one of the safety officers.  He retired from Lowe’s Home Improvement Store where he was an electrical professional.  He enjoyed collecting coins and target shooting.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Frost and his brother, William King.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Choate King and his daughter, Brandi Hartman (Jack), and son, Adam King (Kelly Goodman).  John also leaves behind grand sons, John Tyler Watkins and John Whitley “Whit” Hartman as well as nephews, John Frost and Barry Frost.
