John Michael Owens, 74, of West Monroe passed away on December 18, 2023. A service of remembrance for John Michael will be held at a later date.

John served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Germany. He was a founding member of the Flying Heart tankard club, loved Two Warriors Meadery and Downtown Billiards, and was affectionately known as “Uncle John” to everyone who knew him. John was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Eddie Thomas Owens, brother, C.P. Owens and sister, Katie Owens Johnston.

John is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathleen Tevlin Owens; sons, David Owens and Gregory Owens; brother, Ralph Owens; sister, Bobbie Owens Arrant; niece, Pat Herald; nephew, Jay Johnston; and a close family friend, Eddie Dennis.
