Funeral services for John Hugh McMillan Sr., 68, of West Monroe, are 11:00AM on Wednesday, October 9th, 2013, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Bro. Ray Jones and Bro. Jerry Saulsbury officiating. Interment follows at the New Hope Church of God Cemetery, Pioneer, LA under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Mr. McMillan was born June 21, 1945, in Jonesboro, LA and passed away October 4, 2013 in West Monroe. He was a retired construction carpenter and a member of the Liberty Grove Church of God. Preceding him in death are his son, Timothy R. McMillan; his parents, Dalton and Willodene McMillan; and by his 3 brothers, Eugene, Gerald, and Kenneth McMillan. Mr. McMillan is survived by his wife of 48 years, Earline; 4 sons, John “Johnny” H. McMillan Jr. Joy, Jonathan D. McMillan Dorothy, David I. McMillan Theresa, and Shelby C. McMillan Shannon; a “special daughter” Christine Hendrix; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Cecil, Harold, and John C. McMillan; and 4 sisters, Anne Foster, Elsie Honeycutt, Sherry Foster, and Nita Brown. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is 5:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, October 8th, 2013, at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
