Mr. John C. Taylor Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA Funeral services for Mr. John C. Taylor, 88 of Choudrant, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 16, 2006 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Rev. Michael Reynolds will be officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Calhoun, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. Mr. Taylor was born August 21, 1917 in Spearsville, LA and passed away June 13, 2006 in West Monroe, LA Mr. Taylor was a member of Aulds Chapel Bible Church where he taught Sunday School for many years and served on the church Board of Elders. Mr. Taylor was a research horticulturist for LSU, and was awarded National Recognition for development of the ¨Harvester peach by the American Society of Horticultural Science. He was a member of Gamma Sigma Delta, Louisiana Retired Teachers, and retired professor Emeritus LSU. Mr. Taylor served in the Army-Air Force during World War II. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife of 60 years Julia, daughter, Carolyn Bell and husband Thomas; son, Dale Chester Taylor and wife Gayle; grandson, Bryan Dale Taylor and wife Susan, granddaughters; Shannon Gayle Vidalier and husband Kelly, Tracy Ann Bond and husband Wade, and Cristy Sue Bell; great grandsons; Dillon Vidalier, Devin Vidalier, Dustin Vidalier, Daniel Taylor, Dakota Taylor, Bailey Taylor; great granddaughter, Haleigh Nolan; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Joe Purdy, Charles Taylor, Kenneth Taylor, Gary Colvin, Bill Ezell and Frank Ardis. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Thomas, Eddie Jordan, Frank Machen, Ray Walters, Raymond Jordan, Walter Freeman, Bill Humble, Pete Baker, Jerry Saxon, James Futch, Paul Ezell, Keith Ezell, Ray Ezell, John Aswell, Jerry Lovett, Robert Smith, and Harding Hogan. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. Memorials may be made to Aulds Chapel Bible Church, Downsville, LA.
