Funeral services for Joey R. Cannady, 50, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 9, 2006, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Danny McIlveene officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Joey, a truck driver for over 28 years, was born on June 11, 1956 and passed away on August 5, 2006. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Elaina Brooke Cannady and father-in-law, Thomas Lawhorn. Survivors include his wife, Brenda; children, Scott and wife Christi, Craig and Candice; grandson, Trevor; parents, Frances and Robert Primm; brothers, Eddie Cannady and Dewayne Primm; mother-in-law, Jackie Lawhorn; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. He will be loved always and missed dearly.

Brenda and Family, I was very sorry to hear about Joey. Although we live so fast and we seldom saw you, we always thought the world of you. My Dad was very partial to you and Joey, and I heard him talk about both of you quite often. The times that you and Joey came to see Daddy when he was in the hospital, really meant a lot to him.
