Funeral service for Joe Wayne ¨Cooter Boyett, age 61, of Bernice will be held 11:00 A.M Friday August 24, 2007 at Bernice United Methodist Church with Rev. Woody Reeder and Rev. Johnnie Adkins officiating. Interment will follow at Bernice Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Mr. Boyett was born August 21, 1946 and passed away August 22, 2007. Cooter was a member of Bernice United Methodist Church. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by son: Wayne Boyett and wife Asia Witherington – Boyett of Choudrant; daughter: Mayme Boyett of Ruston; sister: Sissy Kelley and husband Steve of Homer; granddaughter: Milan Witherington; grandsons: Jon and Gabe Witherington- Boyett; nephews: Roger and Lane Kelley. Pallbearers will be Chuck Lowery, Cal Colvin, Tommy Welch, Wayne Boyett, Harry Cook, William Lynn, Johnny Bowen, and Bill Mitcham Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Kelley, Lane Kelley, Bob Baldwin, Todd Till, Jerry Till, Mike Laroe, Carl Ray McKenzie, John Wortham, and Bill Brown.
