Funeral services for Joe T. Cox will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Russell Rhodes officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 30 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home.Joe was born in Chatham, LA on December 11, 1929 and passed away in West Monroe, LA on July 27, 2019. Joe retired from the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force after years of decorated service. He also was a retired Heavy Machine Operator. He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Sue Cox; parents, Claude and Bertha Cox; brother, David Cox; sisters, Rosalie Sample and Barbara Jean Hancock; nephew Jackie Samples; and stepson Dexter Hearn.Joe is survived by his four stepchildren, Mike Hearn (Donna), Kenny Hearn, Jan Banks (Shane), and LaJean Clampit (Randy); 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.Serving as pallbearers will be John Hancock, Elijah Rhodes, Dylan Lewis, Landon Delancey, Jared Delancey, and Jordon Gibson.Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremiah Hays, John Barfoot, and Josh Delancey.Online condolences may be made to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.comKilpatrick Funeral HomeWest Monroe, LA
