Funeral services for Jimmy Lynn Lewis, 68, of Downsville will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2024 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home Monroe, LA with Bro. Johnny Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Calhoun, LA. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Monroe.

Jimmy was born July 11, 1955 in Monroe, LA and passed away January 8, 2024 in Monroe, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Quitman and Nell Lewis. Jimmy loved his family. He was Chief of the Volunteer fire department, Walnut Lane and Ward 5. Jimmy’s passion was fishing and the outdoors and  being a coach to his kids softball team when they were young. Jimmy was always telling stories and he always had a story to tell about an activity or a time in his life. Last but not least, he loved his Chihuahua, Spidellia.

Jimmy is survived by his children Michael Lewis and wife Christyna and Nathan Lewis; grandchildren Melony Allen, Mackenzie Sims, Trenton Sparks, Hailey Lewis and Chloe Lewis and great-grandchild Stetson Aguilar; sister Carolyn Owens; nephew Allen Powell and his favorite cousin Bridgette Belmont.

A special thanks to Dr. Lee and to all the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center and School for the Blind in Ruston, La.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Lewis, Kyle Belmont, Zane Smith, Keith Lewis and Brian Winnon.
