Memorial services will be held for Jimmy Fleming, Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 3:00 P.M., visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until service time in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Jimmy Fleming was born February 4, 1952 and passed away April 14, 2023.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; Enos June and Winnie Lanier Fleming and infant brother Thomas Fleming.
Jimmy is survived by his children; daughter, Ashley Greer and husband Joel; son, Brandon Fleming and wife Kristina, Johnathan Frederick and fiancé Frankie Faircloth; his former wife, Denise Mason; granddaughter, Bailey Friloux; grandchildren, Emma and Mason Fleming;5 brothers, Wayne Fleming and wife Tammy, Steve Fleming and wife Lang, David Fleming and wife Ann, John Fleming and wife Stephanie and Jerry Don Fleming; sisters, Linda White and Kathy Williams and husband Wade; numerous nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was a graduate of Lake Providence High School and went on to attend Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana on a full scholarship. In 1972, Jimmy joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany for two years. After coming home, he began working at Armstrong Tire in Natchez, Mississippi where he worked until becoming an Instrument Electrician at International Paper. Jimmy moved from Natchez, Mississippi to Riegelwood, North Carolina to continue his career with International Paper. After his retirement in 2019, Jimmy moved back home to Louisiana to his beloved property in Eros.
Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting with his brothers and camping with his children and grandchildren where he would always point out the constellations in the night sky. His other hobbies included reading every National Geographic magazine that was ever written, watching the deer and flying squirrels in his yard, feeding the seagulls at the beach, and shooting fireworks at every opportunity.
