Funeral services for Jerry Wallace Petch will be held at 11:00 AM, December 21, 2022 at Fair Park Baptist Church with Waymond Warren and Darris Waren officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Jerry was born May 31, 1944 in Monroe, LA and passed away December 18, 2022 in West Monroe. Jerry loved the Lord and family above all else. He always loved a challenge. He worked on many things and loved to help people while he was able. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. Jerry retired from BellSouth after 33 years of service in management. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, and spending time with his granddaughter whom he cherished. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Edith Petch; siblings Margaret Gentry, Joe Allen Petch and wife Betty Carol, George Irving Petch. Jerry is survived by his wife Olita Bennett Petch; daughter Dawn Cherie Breaux; son Colby Glen Petch; granddaughter Amelia Reese Breaux; sister Jane Sullivan and husband Bobby; sister-in-law Ella Sue Petch; numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are George Petch, Jr., David Petch, Jay Towers, Mike Noel, Brent Swanner, Kyle O’Neal, Phillip Medaries, and Caden Medaries.
Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Cheek, Charles Barfield, and Jerry Towers.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Fair Park Baptist Church.
