Funeral services for Jerry Christy, 59, of West Monroe are at 10:00AM, Wednesday, October 13th, 2010, at Immanuel Worship and Fellowship with Bro. Billy Taylor and Bro. Buddy Wade officiating. Interment follows at Head Cemetery under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Jerry was born April 28th, 1951, in Monroe, LA, and passed away Sunday, October 10th, 2010, in West Monroe. He was a heavy equipment mechanic for Jabar. A dedicated member of Immanuel Worship and Fellowship, he loved his church and he loved to hunt. He was preceded in death by his father, T.C. Christy and by his twin brother, Harvel Christy. Survivors include his daughter, Brandy Lowery and her husband, Oliver; his mother, Marjorie Christy Baugh and her husband, Tollie; a sister, Cheryl C. Jones and her husband, Butch; 2 grandchildren, Morgan Christy and Lane Lowery; a number of nieces and nephews; his sister-in-law; Cheryl Christy Kinard and his close companion and best friend, Terrie Perkins. Pallbearers are Ricky Mayes, Joey Beavers, Butch Jones, Doug Warren, Chris Christy, Jeremy Mayes, Jerry Jones and Doug Lee. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Trimm , Frank Hawkins and Nathan Christy. Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 12th, 2010, at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
