Funeral services for Jeraldine “Jerry” Tolar, age 96, of Ruston will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston, LA.  Rev. Dale Oden will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Transport Cemetery in Jackson Parish under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

A visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. until service time in the Chapel.

Jeraldine was a lifelong resident of Jonesboro, LA before moving to Ruston some 20 years ago.  She was a member at Temple Baptist Church and loved the outdoors, especially gardening.  Jeraldine is preceded in death by her husband, James Stovall Tolar; parents, George Clark and Eva Carter; and two sisters, Beatrice Tolar and Floy Porter.

She is survived by two daughters: Jerri Underwood (Philip) of Ruston, LA and Reba Buckelew (Art) “Bubba” of Keller, TX; grandchildren: Amy Christopher (Jay); Clay Underwood (Anne); Kyle Buckelew; Calli Buckelew; great grandchildren: Mary Frances, Olivia, and Camille Christopher; Avery and Philip Underwood; numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
