Jeanie Melvin “Leroy” Ramsey, Jr. was born on December 18. 1954 and passed away May 2, 2024. Leroy loved the outdoors, hunting and going fishing. He is retired from Gilley’s Heating and Air and from the City of West Monroe. Leroy served weekly to those that are less fortunate at Hope Street Ministries. He was preceded in death by his father, Jeanie M. Ramsey, Sr. and mother, Aleta Patterson.

Leroy is survived by his wife, Reba Feazel Ramsey; son, Jared Ramsey and his wife Amanda and their children, Noah Brewster, Keaton Brewster, Emma Ramsey, Whitney Ramsey and Kasey Ramsey; daughter, Heather Gill and her husband Gabe Gill and her daughter Darby Miles; and great-grandchild, Hollyn Ramsey; and many other extended relatives and friends.

Memorial services may be held at a later date.

Dear Reba and family, I wanted to let you know that y'all are in my prayers. Condolences.

I met Gennie for the first time at John Ramseys visitation He was very kind and loved seeing James again. I know that he is with his uncle now and no longer in pain. May God put his arms around the family at this sad time. I pray y’all will find comfort in the Lord. I’m praying for y’all.

I’m sorry to hear of Leroy’s passing. He was a great guy who I enjoyed knowing. You’re fully healed now friend.
