Ramonia Jean Davidson Smith (September 25, 1937 – October 16, 2023)
Jean was one person who never met a stranger, one who would always give the shirt off her back to someone whom she felt needed it more, and always made sure everyone was well-fed and well-loved when she was around. To know her and all her quirks was to love her. She could be loud, extremely talkative, and very opinionated which many friends and family members felt were part of her charm. She loved to help people, loved to talk, loved to travel, but the most important was to love her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she could talk about for hours on end.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Richard; sons, Ricky (Bonnie) and Steve (Sheila); parents, Herbert and Emily Davidson; sisters, Judy Davidson Busby and Mae Davidson Book; and brother, Joe Davidson. She is survived by daughters-in-law, Bonnie Smith and Sheila Smith; grandchildren, Kelli Strack (Sam), Stephen Smith (Cheryl), Lindsey Davis, and Ian Smith; great-grandchildren, Abby, Maddox, Alli, Bennett, Stevie, Mac and Jackson; sister, Erma Davidson Harrison; brothers, Jeff Davidson (Diane) and Lester Davidson; numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend special thanks to daughter-in-law, Bonnie Smith and granddaughter Kelli Strack for taking care of her and spending time with her in her final days as well as a special thanks to Christus Highland for their commitment to quality care and end of life care.
