Funeral services for Janet Sorensen, 81, of West Monroe will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, September 4, 2021 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Tom Lowe will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:30 PM until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Janet retired from Wal-Mart after 24 years of service as personnel manager. She was a member of Christ Church. Janet loved flowers, gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Sorensen and mother Lorene Pointer and a sister Willie Ruth Bailey.

Janet is survived by her 5 children; Bob Chambless and Todd Chambless (Becca), Jennifer Dunn (Steve), Christy Sorensen (Michelle Davis), Courtney Benton (Keith); 6 grandchildren Zack and Shelby Dunn, Andrew Slape, Elijah Chambless, Jace and Maddie Grace Benton; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Pallbearers will be Bob Chambless, Todd Chambless, Steve Dunn, Keith Benton, Zack Dunn and Bernard Spurell.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Aron Ingram and Todd Weaver.
