Janet DeLoris Pilgreen McMillon, 77, was born on November 25, 1947 and passed away on January 30, 2025. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, Louisiana. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Terry Cole officiating. Interment will be at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Linville, Louisiana under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gregory McMillon; parents, Minnie Mary Johnson Pilgreen and Raymond Dawson Pilgreen; and daughter, Kimberly Dawn Patrick Saunders.
Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, John Paul Smith, Caleb Matthew Smith, and Kacie Morgan Smith; great-grandchildren, John Lane Smith, Justice Lee Smith, Jerimiah Ray Smith, Jordyn Smith, Caleb Matthew Smith, Jr., and Jaxon Dollar; sister, Betty Elaine P. Ray; and numerous nieces and nephews; and stepchildren, Rachale Thompson Franklin, Lance Thompson, Scott McMillon, Charles Spencer McMillon, Walker Lee McMillon, John Gresham McMillon, and Brandi Michelle Brooks.
Janet was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Linville. She worked as a commercial underwriting assistant at State Farm Insurance Company and served in the Army National Guard 528th Engineer Battalion.
She enjoyed many homesteading activities, including gardening and raising animals, traveling, good food, keeping her household neat and organized, and spending time with family and friends. She was a kind and considerate person. She is a believer in Jesus Christ. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family very much. Sometimes life here on earth seems short. Life is precious. She will be missed.
