Sara Jane Huey was a beloved, devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, friend and teacher. Jane is survived by her husband of 20 years, Stanton Huey Jr., her children, Ellen and Patrick Danna, precious grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many close friends and loved ones. Born on July 30, 1943, in Birmingham, Alabama, Jane lived a fulfilling life, and passed away peacefully on January 21, 2024, surrounded by family. Jane adored spending time with those she loved, tending to her beautiful rose garden, volunteering at Glenwood Hospital, caring for her cats and animals in need, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. She was a dedicated teacher – in more ways than one – and touched many lives in and out of the classroom. Jane’s loving spirit and immense kindness will always be felt, and she will be forever missed.
Graveside services for Jane will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens, 8729 Cypress Street, West Monroe, LA with Pastor Michael Stravato officiating.
Services are under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
