Funeral services for Jane Ann Williams, 87, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 18, 2025 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Interment will follow at the New Chapel Hill Baptist Church cemetery, under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM until the time of service.
Jane was born in Knoxville, TN. She surrendered her life to Christ at the age 9 yrs. and later, felt God’s calling to be a missionary at 12 yrs. of age. She graduated as the class Valedictorian of Carson Newman College and also attended Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.
Jane and her husband Earl served as missionaries to Liberia, West Africa for 30 years through the Southern Baptist International Mission Board (1968-1998). Through their ministry at Mt. Nimba Baptist Church, thousands came to faith in Jesus Christ and were baptized. The impact of their ministry continues to this day. She was faithful in serving the Lord, committed to serving the people of Liberia, and loved her family deeply.
In retirement, they were members of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church who supported their ministry throughout their service in Liberia. Their recently renovated missionary residence was named in honor of Earl and Jane Williams.
Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Earl Williams, who was the love of her life for 56 years; parents, Fred and Ruby Williams. She is also preceded by her brothers, Ben Williams and Ray Williams and sister, Evelyn Seymour.
Jane is survived by her 5 children; Susan Wariner (Luis), Joel Williams (Melissa), Timothy Williams (Amy), Pam Johnson (Tommy), and Kenneth Williams (Kristi). She had 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
