Funeral services for James W. Hodge (J Boy) will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Nathan Thornton officiating assistants will be Rev. Ken Hofler and Bro. Gary Taylor. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Start Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

J-Boy was born November 14, 1944 and passed away January 23, 2022. He loved his family first and most of all. J-Boy loved hunting, fishing and frogging, and past adventures with his brothers and nephews. Also he loved calling his list of names everyday and relishing in all our little stories and accomplishments whether they be big or little. He enjoyed the “3” little late blessings of joy that God sent our family. He knew our hearts needed them. He was preceded in death by parents James and Hazel Hodge; daughter Angela Hodge; siblings Betty Price, Virgie Spells; grandsons Chad Rice, and Tanner Adams; great-granddaughter Tristan Guerrero.

J-Boy is survived by his devoted wife Gloria Hodge; children Pam (Randy) Adams and Melinda (Terry) Long; grandchildren Bridget(Ken) Hofler, Brittney (Kevin) Stewart and Erica (Dusty) Redmond; great-grandchildren Mallory Rice, Grant Hofler, Jayla Guerrero, Ike Stewart, Gage Hofler, Alaina Stewart, Fallon Hofler, Madisyn Redmond and Enzley Redmond; siblings, Alvin and Margrie Hodge, Jerry Hodge, Olan and Bobby Hodge, Mary and Michael Price, Francis and Bobby Mizell, Marilyn Cook, John and Jenny Hodge; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A host of friends and family who’s been by our side during this unexpectant time of loss.

Pallbearers will be Ken Hofler, Kevin Stewart, Dusty Redmond, Grant Hofler, Gage Hofler and Ike Stewart.
