Funeral services for James W. “Buck” Duke, 75, of Dubach, LA will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Bro. Greg Tipton will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Mineral Springs Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Duke was born on June 16, 1936 in Vienna, LA and died at his residence on August 27, 2011. He was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church and served in the National Guard. Mr. Duke was a Mason for many years and retired from the Louisiana Dept of Transportation as shop superintendent. Mr. Duke is survived by his wife, Lunell Holtzclaw Duke; daughter, Connie Duke Ledford and husband Billy; son, Kevin Duke and wife Stacey; five grandchildren, Colby Duke, Dianna Duke, Brooke Ledford Ellis and husband Michael, Tessa Ledford, Billy Ledford, Jr. and wife Amber; and three great grandchildren, Kloey Ellis, Tucker Ledford, and Kaitlin Ledford. Memorials may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. Pallbearers will be Colby Duke, Lamar Reynolds, Michael Ellis, Rodney Howard, Ricky Reeves, Billy Ledford, Jr., Ricky Barmore, and Lester Myers. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Martin, Mark Holtzclaw, Barlow Futrell, Travis Holtzclaw, George Duke, and Zeb Ginn. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M until 7:00 P.M.
