Graveside services for James Terry Waldrop, 63, will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at Kilpatrick≠s Serenity Gardens, West Monroe, Louisiana under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral of West Monroe with Reverend Mark Foster officiating. Mr. Waldrop was born February 15, 1947, in Columbia LA and passed away on August 6, 2010 in West Monroe. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. It is believed that Mr. Waldrop was the first West Monroe resident who received a Purple Heart after being wounded in combat in the Vietnam conflict. Mr. Waldrop is survived by two children, Jason Waldrop and Nicole Ozark; four grandchildren, Tristin, Payton, Sidnie and Samuel; two sisters, Janell Coleman and Rhonda Welch; and one brother Tommy Waldrop. Visitation will be 5:00 8:00 PM on Monday, August 9th at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
